Following through
I’ve always had the hardest time following through with projects, ideas, and decisions. I know it’s not just me. The struggle is real. I go through these cycles where I feel like I’m unstoppable and like I can juggle it all, like I can conquer anything I set my mind to. It's thrilling for sure, whether it's starting a new parenting strategy, implementing a new cleaning schedule, or THIS —starting a new blog. The initial rush of excitement and thrill pumps me up for that end goal.
As the dust settles and reality sets in, it gets challenging to maintain that same level of motivation and commitment. It's in those moments when doubts start creeping in, that I question my abilities causing me to pause or even come to a complete stop. I started this new journey of blogging and “creating content” 10 days ago, and already 7 days in, I questioned if I should quit. My mind, whispering all sorts of self-doubt and resistance. I began to question whether my ideas were as great as I initially believed, wondering if I have what it takes to see things through.
But you know what? It's important to remember that Rome wasn't built in a day, and lasting accomplishments require consistent effort over time. I’m so grateful for my husband who has been so encouraging and supportive of me in this journey. That KEY! Having an accountability partner or support system can be super helpful. my friends have been amazing supporters too. Sharing your goals and progress with someone who understands your struggles can provide encouragement and a sense of sisterhood. Moreover, learning to embrace mistakes and acknowledging that setbacks are a natural part of any journey can help us push through the moments of doubt and keep moving forward.
So, while there may be moments of discouragement or feeling of failure and even laziness, it's important to remember to keep going and follow-through. Only then can we turn our dreams and ideas into tangible achievements, creating a sense of fulfillment.
